Classical Pilates with Dominika Masnica

Movement education that restores
strength, control and confidence.

Pilates is so much more than simply exercise. What I love about it, is the intelligence behind the system — the precision of movement, the deep understanding of the biomechanics of the human body, and the way carefully taught movement can build strength, balance and function from the inside out.

A newer discipline, the same philosophy

Trained comprehensively, not casually

I am a third-generation Classical Pilates teacher. Between 2024 and 2026, I completed more than 600 hours of rigorous comprehensive training in the complete Classical Pilates system, studying the original method across every piece of apparatus — Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chairs, Barrels, Magic Circle and Matwork.

I don’t claim the same decades of mastery here that I’ve built in massage and colonic hydrotherapy — Pilates is the newest discipline in my practice. What I bring instead is the same rigour: an enquiring mind, careful observation, technical precision, and an insistence on understanding a system properly before teaching it to someone else.

I teach private one-to-one sessions as well as group sessions across mat and all Pilates apparatus.

A hands-on teaching style

Where massage experience meets movement

My teaching is hands-on, drawing directly on twenty years of experience as a massage therapist. That background has given me an intuitive understanding of how bodies hold tension, compensate and move — something I bring into every Pilates session, guiding and correcting through touch as much as verbal instruction.

An active tool, not a passive one

A conversation with your own body

Bodywork is something you receive. Sometimes that is exactly what the body needs. Pilates works differently: it asks you to take an active role.

You learn to notice your own patterns, understand where you compensate and gradually develop the ability to self-correct. The work becomes your own enquiry — a conversation with your body rather than one directed entirely by someone else’s hands.

At its core, Classical Pilates develops strength, stamina, balance and flexibility — built patiently, session by session, until those qualities become something you carry beyond the studio.

Movement, understood

Not fitness — movement intelligence

Classical Pilates is not simply about completing exercises. It is about learning how to move with greater precision, efficiency and control.

Taught well, it develops strength and mobility alongside something equally valuable: a deeper understanding of your own body.
