Movement education that restores strength, control and confidence.
Pilates is so much more than simply exercise. What I love about it, is the intelligence behind the system — the precision of movement, the deep understanding of the biomechanics of the human body, and the way carefully taught movement can restore strength, balance and function from the inside out.
Equipment sessions are taught at a fully equipped classical studio in North West London.
Trained comprehensively, not casually
I am a third generation Classical Pilates teacher. Between 2024 and 2026, I undertook rigorous comprehensive training in the complete Classical Pilates system, that took more than 600 hours to complete, studying the original method across every piece of apparatus — the Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chairs, Barrels, Magic Circle and Matwork.
I don’t claim the same decades of mastery here that I’ve built in massage and colonic hydrotherapy — Pilates is the newest discipline in my practice. What I bring instead is the same rigour: enquiring mind, careful observation, technical precision, and an insistence on understanding a system properly before teaching it to anyone else.
I teach private one to one sessions as well as group sessions across mat and all Pilates apparatus.
Where massage experience meets movement
My approach to teaching is hands-on, drawing directly on twenty years of experience as a massage therapist. That background has given me an intuitive feel for how bodies hold tension, compensate and move — a knack I bring into every Pilates session, guiding and correcting through touch as much as instruction.
A conversation with your own body
Bodywork is like a gift — something you receive. It has its place, and always will, as sometimes we simply need to surrender our pain-body to someone else. But Pilates works differently. It’s active rather than passive, a discipline you take a sovereign role in rather than simply receive.
I find that distinction incredibly empowering. Pilates teaches you to connect with your own body, to notice and self-correct your own postural patterns, and to work through the habits and imbalances that build up over years. It becomes your own enquiry, your own conversation with your body, rather than one directed entirely by someone else’s hands.
At its core, Classical Pilates is a discipline of strength, stamina, balance and flexibility — built patiently, session by session, until it becomes something you carry with you far beyond the studio.
Not fitness — movement intelligence
Taught with precision, patience and understanding, Classical Pilates has the ability to change the way a person breathes, moves, stands, recovers from injury and experiences their own body. It empowers you to take an active role in your own health, and to maintain the improvements made through hands-on therapy.
This is the same question that runs through everything I do: how can we help the body function at its very best? Massage lets me feel the body’s story. Colonic hydrotherapy helps me understand one of its most fundamental systems. Pilates teaches how to move with greater intelligence, efficiency and confidence.
